El Salvador is one of the most underrated countries of Central America. Don't be scared to travel to this wonderful land because of negative representation in the media! If you dare visit you will encounter breathtaking rainforests, untouched beaches, quaint villages and welcoming people. La Libertad is a surfer's paradise, la Ruta de las Flores is home to the most charming villages of the country, the Santa Ana volcano & the lake Coatepeque are the perfect weekend gateway. There are countless places to visit in this small yet culturally rich country.
